Politcal Wire has been a consistent “glass of ice cold water in hell” when it comes to political news. In his recent note to readers, Taegan writes about his recent health scare impairing his ability to work on the site:

Nothing can keep me from Political Wire — or so I thought. I had emergency hernia surgery on Wednesday, but there were complications. I aspirated during the procedure and stomach acid burned my lungs, so I needed breathing tubes and was kept sedated for two days.

If you’ve never read his site, and would like to have sane reporting on politics, I can’t recommend Politcal Wire enough. Well worth the subscription price of admission.
